CIC staff guide campers through an exciting outdoor summer camp adventure on Catalina Island near Los Angeles, CA.  As a counselor, you live with at least one other counselor and up to ten campers in a single-room cabin. Our staff actively participate in activities with our campers while modeling a positive attitude and readiness to help wherever needed. Our most successful staff members possess the ability and desire to continue learning and recognize where personal growth can take place. This position requires the ability to work long hours with little time off. Most would describe the experience as demanding yet rewarding.

Summer Camp Activities

One of our desired outcomes as an organization is to teach campers how to be contributing members of a positive community, so we expect our staff to exemplify this behavior. Our summer camp provides fun outdoor activities for kids to experience, including snorkeling, climbing, hiking, sailing, and more. The summer camp staff teaches campers how to make friends, clean up after themselves, and stretch their comfort zones in new environments.
